                                          In 2010, God placed it on Jeanette's heart to start a ministry right here in her own city, within her own community.   At the time, she was taking an on-camera class that inspired her to emulate the class format.  Compelled by the desire to forge common ground with her fellow actors and the ache she believed the community shared for fellowship that ran deeper than classmates and castmates, faith in the face of rejection and instability, and excellence through affordable and organized practice, Jeanette conceived of a place where actors could pray, practice, and fellowship for free. 

 

She gathered with like-minded individuals from her church, Morning Star NY, and after several months of coffee shop meetings, they opened the doors to the first Actors InC workshop in the Fall of 2010.  During that first year, they created their signature workshop format that incorporated prayer, a mock audition, on-camera playback, and sharing time.  Since then, Actors InC has gone through leadership and structural changes, but has consistently, through the grace of God, operated weekly for three seasons of every year, continuing to touch lives, inspire change, and create opportunities for those who have participated.
